I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’m launching a brand new guide service – The Utah Fly Fishing Company. My business partner and fishing buddy Bridger Lyons is on board to help out with operations, while I’ll be the Lead Guide.
The Utah Fly Fishing Company is one of only a handful of outfitters that’s licensed to guide the smaller waters around the world-famous Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. I’m absolutely stoked to start taking folks out on trips in this gorgeous country.
Our season is tentatively going to run from Memorial Day to Labor Day this year, but of course that’s weather dependent. If the current snowpack holds, we should be able to start right on time.
We’re also running some special offers for clients who book before April.
- Mention this post while booking and get 5% off your 2021 trip
- The first 10 people to book get a limited-edition Utah Fly Fishing Company hat – one of only a dozen made.
- You’re automatically entered to win a new Orvis Battenkill reel in the Utah Fly Fishing Company’s end-of-season raffle.
Don’t miss out on these deals! Book your trip today here.
The Utah Fly Fishing Company will be based out of Red Canyon Lodge, which is just a few minutes from the Flaming Gorge Dam. Red Canyon Lodge is ideally situated in the midst of trout country to give clients the fly fishing experience of a lifetime. We have access to a private pond with huge rainbow and tiger trout, in addition to public water that holds trophy-sized grayling, and some of the biggest golden trout outside of Wyoming.
This footage was shot by my good friend Ryan Kelly, when he took a client of his out for grayling near Flaming Gorge last summer. This is the kind of fishing you can expect when you book a trip with UFFC.

Down the road, we’ll have hats, shirts, and other swag available. And I’m hoping to start selling other fly fishing gear, as well. In the meantime, UFFC functions solely as a guide service. We’re committed to making unforgettable memories with you on the water.
